Kraken Parent Payward Reports 33% Revenue Growth Ahead of IPO
Payward, the parent company of cryptocurrency exchange Kraken, announced a 33% year-over-year revenue increase to $2.2 billion in 2025, up from $1.6 billion in 2024. The growth was driven by higher trading volumes and strategic acquisitions, with transaction volumes surging 34% to $2 trillion.
The company maintains diversified revenue streams, with trading activity contributing 47% of revenue and asset-based services accounting for 53%. User metrics showed strong growth, with funded accounts increasing 50% to 5.7 million and assets under management rising 11% to $48.2 billion.
Co-CEO Arjun Sethi emphasized the 'broad-based' nature of the performance across products and markets. The results come as Payward prepares for its anticipated public listing, capitalizing on renewed investor interest in crypto infrastructure providers.
